The Goodrich brothers in the Village of Woodridge constructed the first one room schoolhouse in the area. Nestled near a heavy stand of timber and surrounded by rolling countryside, the Village was the site of many dairy farms. A population of 559 residents helped to incorporate the original Village. Today, that one room schoolhouse is the inner core of the modern 22-room school housed at the same location and bearing the original name.
Woodridge today is home for many professional offices, local businesses and hosts a number of civic, social and cultural organizations.
